Impact Windows

One of the most common windows in the industry.  This window design consist of 2 sashes in which one of the panels is moveable in the vertical direction.

Maintenance – Proper cleaning of your windows is highly recommended at a minimum of bi-annually to maintain its proper functionality.  Cleaning should include removing all dust and debris from surrounding areas as well as following additional care instructions per manufacturer guidelines.

Energy Efficiency – Single hung windows by design have been known to reduce chances for windows to leak due to only allowing one sash to be opened.

Contrasting from traditional single hung windows, horizontal slider windows are positioned side-by-side and open horizontally instead of vertically.  Depending on your lighting and ventilation needs horizontal sliders would be an exceptional option for your home or business.

In addition, they offer a number of advantages that appeal to anyone seeking an alternative to traditional single hung windows.  Unobstructed views provided by sliding windows allows for increased natural light as well as better viewing of outside areas.

Sliding windows can also be placed in combinations of two and three panels, where one or two panels may open (XOX).

Maintenance – Operation of sliding windows is seemingly effortless due to the fact that the window glides on rollers to open/close.  These windows require less moving parts resulting in lower maintenance requirements.  As long as the windows are well-maintained and free of debris the window will operate for many years without any issues.  Many designs allow the operating sash to be removed for ease of cleaning.

Casement windows, also known as a crank window have been in existence for hundreds of years.  This type of window moves in an outward direction, similar to a door and is hinged at the side.  Due to some hard to reach areas (ie: over the kitchen sink window) or egress requirements, casement windows are ideal to use because of the lever that allows you to open the window with one hand.

Laminated glass is one of the most popular hurricane barriers and is made up of 2 different sheets of glass sandwiched together with an inter-layer which is what bonds them together.  As a comparison, it is the same type of glass that car windshields are made of and if/when broken the glass stays in place and will not shatter into small pieces if impacted.

Insulated Laminated Glass is comprised of adding an extra pane of glass on top of the laminated glass creating an air/gas filled space.  This gap serves as an insulator to regulate the temperature difference that is present between the outside and inside temperatures.  This type of glass type works especially well in colder climates.
